An evening of testing , tasting and guessing. Old and new friends gathered on the 1st day of Advent to start the planning and celebrations for Christmas. A great fundraiser and a fabulous evening.

Nell Phoenix and Sef Townsend entertained, enthralled and provided a night of giggles in the cosy annexe of the Clissold Arms. The food warming and delicious, the storytellers captivating. A perfect Sunday evening!
Event: Aimee's Liverpool Half-Marathon Challenge

I completed the Liverpool half marathon in 1:59:08 which I am very pleased with. The race started on the docks by the Liver Buildings; the atmosphere (even at 8.30am on a Sunday) was electric. The first 5 or 6 miles were pleasant, up past the Anglican Cathedral and around Sefton Park, all of course made easier by the crowds cheering everyone on. By mile 9 it started to get a bit harder, not helped by the cobbles along Otterspool Promenade! I pushed myself at mile 11 to finish in under 2 hours and I am very pleased with the end result. I'm ready to sign up for the next one and make it under 1:45!
Event: Dolbe House Latymer School
Date: Academic Year 2012/2013
Amount raised: £1,800
Over the course of the 2012/13 academic year, members of Dolbe House at The Latymer School, Edmonton organised cake sales and other fundraising events as well as a Christmas Bazaar with another house. This led to the fantastic donation of £1,800 from them for the fund. A massive thank you to all staff and students who, not only organised, but supported these events.
